In order to save money on last minute trips to the grocery store, we started planning our meals two weeks in advance.
I do one big shopping trip once every two weeks and in between I go once for more milk and some carrots. NOTHING MORE.
We have saved so much money and I finally get to try out all those recipes I've been wanting to try, since I plan ahead and actually have the ingredients on hand instead of doing a spur the moment kind of thing, where I have to wing it.
This summer we are also being a part of an an agricultural share.
