I love painting pots and old furniture.
I get hand-me-down pots from my husband's grandma and they are all mismatched. I love to give them a coat of bronze spray paint and then set them out on my back patio in the summer with different flowers in them. The color give them a kind of coordination and their varying sizes and shapes give them visual interest. I get lots of compliments on them.
One of my other favorite DIY projects was when I put shutter doors on a small bookcase. It made it look custom and unique, when really it was just a free bookcase i painted and put shutter doors on. The project was virtually free since I got the bookcase off of Freecyle and the shutters at a garage sale.
Anyone else?
