The blog 50 Books likes to post the unusual book shelves she finds and as I am in the process of looking for a home for my 20 boxes of books, I love to oggle them. They are all designer shelves and thus all expensive between $1,000-$5,000, with other midrange options in most furniture stores between $500-$1,000. Thus, I thought funky shelves were going to be out of my price range until I pounced upon this gem—a designer shelf for $379. It’s not exactly pocket change, but as a designer statement in your home it’s priceless.  Also, keep in mind that a bold piece of furniture can make a budget-friendly house look opulent.
