Simply Good Media:

Sofa Pillow Style Under $20: The Look for Less

June 24, 2008

Sofas are expensive, and a stylish inexpensive one is difficult to obtain. While searching for sofa inspiration, we stumbled upon this fantastic living room configuration (pictured above) by former HGTV Design Star contestant Adriana Nussbaumer. Suddenly, a light bulb went off. You can get the look of the sofa for much less if you get creative with pillows.

Spunky pillows can breathe new life into a hand-me-down from another era if that’s all you’ve got. To mimic this style, all that you need is a sofa with a back. Then ditch the cushions it came with (or save one) and add other pillows of a different size to fill the empty space. Add a few accent pillows with contrasting colors and designs, and you've got one jazzed up sofa! To get you started, here are some pillows that won't bust your budget.
