Sofas are expensive, and a stylish inexpensive one is difficult to obtain. Suddenly, a light bulb went off. You can get the look of the sofa for much less if you get creative with pillows.

Spunky pillows can breathe new life into a hand-me-down from another era if that’s all you’ve got. To mimic this style, all that you need is a sofa with a back. Then ditch the cushions it came with (or save one) and add other pillows of a different size to fill the empty space.
