Simply Good Media:

Re-Upholstery : DIY

May 30, 2008

Before you get rid of that dining room chair or ottoman, try re-upholstering it first. It’s not as hard as it sounds. Our friends over at ThreadBanger.com, put together a great DIY video for all your re-upholstering neophytes out there. It is simple and they make it look so easy. They even show you how to make piping and give you a rad way to reuse old family slides.

To re-upholster your chairs and ottoman you are going to need some fabric.

We found this fabulous red and orange fat quarter on Etsy for $4.99. It is 18x22 and is perfect for covering a chair or two.

We also love this feminine pink and brown bird fabric also $4.99. It is also a fat quarter and a unique way to cover your chairs.
