Daisies are pretty by themselves, but why not add some zing to them by coloring the petals? It’s simple and easy to make colored daisies, and a fun project for adults and kids alike.

You’ll need:

Daisies
Liquid food coloring (try red and blue for an Independence Day theme, or any color scheme you like)
Vases (use a separate vase for each color)

To make:
Divide flowers into bunches and place in vases. Fill about a third of the way with fresh, clean water. Add a few drops of food coloring to the water – enough to tint the water. The more you add, the more saturated the petals’ color will be.

Then wait until the daisies drink the water and absorb the color – from a few hours to overnight. Remove flowers from dyed water, place in a vase with fresh water and arrange as desired.
